2006 dodge stratus review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. The dodge stratus is a stylishly designed midsize car with options for both a sedan and a coupe. Although not as sporty as some competitors, the stratus is fairly smooth, comfortable, and stylish. The stratus seats five passengers with two front buckets and a folding three-place rear bench. The truck has 16 cubic feet of cargo space with a high truck opening. Standard-equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control a tilt steering column, remote keyless entry, and power windows, locks and mirrors. Optional equipment includes serious satellite radio. The r/t sedan is equipped with a more powerful 200-horsepower 2. 70-liter v-6 engine, although it is available as an option for the sxt. For 2006, the r/t body trim has been updated with ground effects and a rear magnesium spoiler wing. Power Windows✔ Cruise Control✔ Air Conditioning

2002 dodge durango review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Not too big, not too small, and very rugged. introductiondodge durango is handsome, powerful, versatile, and refined. Based on the dakota pickup, durango is smaller and more maneuverable than the full-size suvs, such as the ford expedition and chevrolet tahoe. Dodge durango has found a comfortable niche that ford and gm missed.  with theater-style seating that gives rear-seat passengers a view of the road ahead, and other interior creature comforts, the durango is a smart choice for large families. It's also a good choice for people who tow light to medium-sized trailers. For 2002, dodge has added a high-value trim level called sxt with unique graphite trim. Two engines are available: a 4. 7-liter v8 and a 5. 9-liter v8.  five trim levels are available. Seventeen-inch wheels with 275/60r17 tires and a sport-tuned suspension improve handling, while body-colored wheel flares help set the r/t apart. walkarounddodge durango doesn't look like other suvs. It makes a bolder statement with its muscular styling. It looks sportier than the ford or gm competition and many of the imports. Durango shares its front end with the dakota pickup. The grille's prominent bull's-eye slats instantly identify this suv as part of the dodge family. interioreight people can fit in the durango (six comfortably), with theater seating designed to give everyone a view out the front. The back half of the roof is raised nearly two inches to increase rear-seat headroom and visibility. This raised portion is cleverly disguised with a roof rack.  second-row seats are quite comfortable, offering plenty of headroom and adequate legroom. Stable cup holders and rear heating/air conditioning controls add to comfort. Third-row seats (standard in slt, slt plus, and r/t) are surprisingly comfortable for two people, who enjoy adequate legroom by tucking their feet under the second-row seats in front of them. Getting in and out of that third row is easy: flip a lever and the second-row seatback folds forward, then tumbles out of the way, allowing a quick entry or exit.  durango's interior was re-designed for 2001, including a new instrument panel, interior trim, center and overhead consoles, carpeting and steering wheel. A dual-zone climate control system is standard, and slt and r/t models provide auxiliary heat for the third-row seats.  when it's time to haul cargo, the tailgate lifts up and out of the way, and the two rows of seats easily fold down to provide a large, relatively flat floor. A trout bum could sleep back there. All durangos have a long, narrow storage compartment under the floor just inside the rear liftgate, with enough space for the jack, flares and other roadside equipment.  overall, the interior design is executed well. Matching plastic trim provides an organic appearance. The seats appear plain, but they are comfortable. Carpeting extends to the backs of the rear headrests, which do not have to be removed when the seats are folded down. That's a convenient, timesaving feature.  the driving position is comfortable, with good visibility over an attractive, rounded hoodline. Instruments are big and easy to read, although the speedometer appears busy with has marks for every 2-1/2 mph. Power outside mirrors are easy to adjust with a big knob on the driver's door. Cup-holders and storage trays are nicely designed, while a digital compass and other useful readouts beckon from overhead. Large buttons on the leather-wrapped steering wheel operate one of the better cruise controls we've encountered. driving impressionthe durango is enjoyable to drive. Equipped with the big 5. 9-liter magnum v8, it always feels willing to get down the road quickly, with excellent throttle response and quick acceleration. Shifting is smooth and responsive and transmission ratios are well matched to the healthy torque of the 5. 9-liter v8.  it handles well when driven briskly down narrow roads with tight corners and sweeping turns. The durango feels a bit sportier than other sport-utilities, particularly the bigger ones. Steering is precise and the suspension provides excellent transient response, responding crisply when dodging quickly from left to right and back again. On unpaved roads, the durango provides predictable handling. We never bottomed the suspension out in spite of bouncing around in the rough stuff.  durango's competent off-road capability and on-road handling response don't come as a free lunch, however. We found ride quality on downtown washington's crumbling infrastructure a bit on the harsh side. Ride quality on rough pavement is not as smooth as it is in, say, the new ford explorer or gmc envoy.  as mentioned, two v8 engines are available. It uses a modern overhead-cam configuration, as opposed to the 5. 9-liter engine's traditional overhead-valve design. Engine and transmission talk to each other and choose the optimum ratio based on driver input and load conditions. Most often, it will choose the numerically higher ratio when starting off from rest, or when towing; and a numerically lower ratio as a more ideal kick-down or passing gear.  new for 2002, is a similarly engineered five-speed automatic, with two overdrive ratios and again two different second-gear ratios. That's considerably more robust than the just-released 2003 expedition's standard 4. 6-liter overhead-cam v8 (232 horsepower and 291 pound-feet of torque), and not far behind expedition's optional 5. 4-liter unit, with its 260 horsepower and 350 pound-feet. The dodge 5. 9-liter v8 also compares favorably with the chevrolet tahoe's 5. 3-liter v8 (285 horsepower, but only 325 pound-feet of torque). Fuel economy for the 5. 9-liter dodge is 12/17 mpg city/highway, as rated by the epa. The durango can nearly tow with the big boys, too. With the 5. 9-liter engine and 3. 92 axle, it's capable of pulling a 7,550-pound trailer. Chevy's tahoe is rated to pull 7,900 pounds, and ford's expedition is rated for 8,900 pounds. Both transfer cases rely on shift-on-the-fly lever mounted on the floor. It's not suitable for dry. summarydodge durango is practical, intelligently designed and easy to operate. It also compares favorably to the full-size ford expedition, chevrolet tahoe, and gmc yukon.  the durango cuts a distinctive appearance among sport-utility vehicles. 2005 dodge ram pickup 3500 review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Strong lineup includes viper-powered srt-10. introductionthis may be the golden age of the full-size pickup. Indeed, it's impossible to buy a bad full-size pickup nowadays. The all-new ford f-150 and nissan titan have made headlines. Toyota has a new double cab model, and there are strong entries from chevrolet and gmc. In spite of all this, the dodge ram remains an excellent choice. The cabs are comfortable and convenient, among the roomiest in their respective classes. The quad cab is handy for hauling friends and family but even the standard cab is roomy. Arguably, the ram is the best-looking truck on the market. The styling is bold and handsome, more sophisticated than the previous design.  the hemi v8 engine has drawn much attention for its power and efficiency as well as the heritage its name evokes. It is an exceptionally good engine, smooth and very responsive. Adding to its responsiveness is a five-speed automatic. The popular 4. 7-liter v8 delivers responsive performance. It's also smooth and sophisticated, benefiting from a modern overhead-cam design. The guinness book of world records called the srt-10 the fastest production pickup. lineupdodge ram is available in two cab configurations, regular cab and quad cab. Regular cab models start at $20,180 for a 4x2, $24,285 for a 4x4. Quad cabs start at $24,190 for a 4x2, $28,175 for a 4x4.  two bed lengths are available, a 6-foot, 3-inch standard bed and an 8-foot long-bed. Ordering the long bed adds 20 inches to the wheelbase. Long-bed rams also get a bigger fuel tank, 35 gallons in place of the standard 26-gallon tank. Long beds add $300-$350 to the price.  several engines are offered: most popular is the 4. 7-liter v8, a modern overhead-cam engine. The most powerful engine in the regular lineup is the 5. 7-liter hemi v8, which adds $795 to the price. At the other end of the scale, there's the rip-snortin' 8. 3-liter v10 in the srt-10 models rated 500 horsepower and 525 pound-feet of torque.  new for 2005 is a six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment with the 3. 7-liter v6 and 4. 7-liter v8.  st is the base level. It comes standard with air conditioning, but is equipped with wind-up windows, manual door locks, and vinyl upholstery.  slt adds $1,700-$3,200, depending on cab style and driveline. It comes standard with the 4. 7-liter v8, and adds cloth upholstery, nicer interior trim, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a host of convenience items, and wider tires.  laramie is the top trim level, with leather seating surfaces, dual-zone air conditioning, a premium stereo, 17-inch cast aluminum wheels, and a long list of luxury features. Offered in two packages, laramie retails for $7,800-$8,900 more than the base trim level.  sport trim, available for most models, includes fog lights, 17-inch aluminum wheels, body-colored exterior trim, and special interior trim. Aggressive 20-inch wheels and tires are also available.  the srt-10 is available in both regular cab 45,000) and quad cab 50,000) models for 2005.  a power sunroof with one-touch open and close features is a new option for 2005 quad cab models. Sirius satellite radio is available for 2005 quad cabs as well. A new uconnect hands-free cellular telephone system that can communicate with bluetooth-enabled cell phones is available, and there's a new integrated radio/navigation system.  the off-road package 870-$1,405) comes with unique 17-inch aluminum wheels on lt275/70r17 off-road tires, 3. 92 rear axle, limited-slip differential, skid plates for the transfer case and front suspension, special shocks, tow hooks, fog lamps, and a heavy-duty cooling system.  the work special package is designed to deliver affordability with gray bumpers, grille, and 17x7 steel wheels. walkaroundthe dodge ram presents a bold, distinctive appearance with its big horse-collar grille and freightliner fenders. The basic look goes back 10 years, but received a major redesign for 2002. Modern and contemporary, the current design improved on the best of the previous, ground-breaking design. We think it looks terrific. 2005 brings new rear badging, including a chrome ram's head on the center of the tailgate.  few grilles are as instantly recognizable as the ram's massive horse collar. The color of the grille provides trim-level identification: the outside rim is all chrome on slts, with a gray honeycomb center. Laramie models are distinguished by an all-chrome grille surround and chrome billet grille center, along with chrome bodyside moldings. Sport trim features a body-colored grille surround and body-colored crosshairs with unique chrome billets in the center. The most noticeable exterior feature of the srt-10 is a unique hood that features a wide power bulge and scoop sitting atop the signature cross-hair grille.  moving rearward, the ram presents robust appearance. The broad, sloping hood has a pronounced crown that falls over the sides to the prominent front fenders. A fast, raked-back windshield enhances aerodynamics and water management, and gives the ram a modern appearance. The leading edge of the front door overlaps the a-pillar, creating a smooth transition from the front of the cab to the side. Everything is smooth and integrated. The big side mirrors, great for visibility, are mounted on platforms to reduce wind noise, and a channel has been specially designed to keep water off of the mirrors. That's seems high when trying to heave heavy gear aboard. interiorthe dodge ram is among the roomiest of the full-size pickups and its cab is a pleasant place to be. Dodge added 3 inches to the cab's total length when the ram was redesigned for 2002, stealing that space from the bed. Regular cab and quad cab versions offer identical roominess in the front seats.  the ram comes with a front bench seat split 40/20/40. The narrow center section features a large fold-down armrest with a compartment big enough to hold a laptop. We've found both the cloth and the leather seats comfortable, though they could use more support on the side bolsters. Laramie models get silver trim adorning the door panels and instrument bezels. Laramie comes with distinctive leather trim, with higher contrast color seat inserts.  we've found the interior materials in rams to be good quality overall, though not all is perfect in truckville. The faux wood trim on the center stack reminds us of plastic. On leather-trimmed models, cloth is used on the inboard seat-bottom trim where leather would have offered a cleaner appearance. The cup holders can be fussy. White-faced instruments with turquoise numbers look sporty and trendy, but don't offer the legibility of traditional white-on-black designs, particularly at dusk. At night, the instruments are nicely illuminated in green.  however, the ram interior is quite nice and shows attention to details that add utility and convenience. The big fold-down center armrest/console comes with adjustable dividers and a power outlet. A hook on the passenger-side floor well is provided for securing a plastic grocery bag or anything else with suitable handles.  three-point shoulder belts are used at all locations, including the rear center seat. Power adjustable pedals let shorter drivers adjust their seating position better so they aren't sitting so close to the airbag; this improves comfort, safety, and drivability and is a smart option for two-driver families. Big mirrors on the ram make it easier to see what's behind.  side-curtain airbags are a $390 option on regular cabs, $490 on quad cabs. Curtain-style airbags are designed to provide head protection in a side impact along with protection in the event of a rollover. We highly recommend them. Setting a button for a station, for example, requires pressing a separate set button, rather than just holding the station button down. Small, sliding bass and treble controls are harder to adjust than knobs when bouncing around in a pickup truck. Optional steering wheel audio controls 75) improve this situation with brilliantly designed buttons behind the steering wheel that are easy to use. Likewise, cruise controls 390) on the steering wheel are easy to operate and come packaged with a tilt steering column.  overall, the center dash is a paradigm of convenience. Large heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (hvac) buttons can be operated while wearing gloves. A textured fabric is used for trim around the audio and hvac controls that gives the center dash a nice look and feel. 2004 dodge durango review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Totally redesigned, now roomier and refined. introductionthe durango has been around for a mere five years, but it seems so long. The suv world has moved so fast. In those short five years the durango has gone from innovative to dated by its competition. But it has established enduring strengths and character; it's truly rugged and sporty, with distinctive styling that reflects those values.  now comes the 2004 dodge durango, a total rewrite of the durango book. It's seven inches longer, and the wheelbase, width and height have all grown by three inches, bringing it to a size between the chevy tahoe and ford expedition. Both the 4. 7-liter and 5. 7-liter v8s are superb, smooth and powerful. They come with a five-speed automatic that's smooth, refined, smart and responsive. Inside, it's quiet, roomy, comfortable and technologically sophisticated. These descriptions would not have fit last year's model.  the all-new durango is both more and less of a truck than it was before. More because it's stronger; and less because it simply feels less like a truck than the former durango, despite its size. lineupthere are three models of durango: st, slt or limited. All models come with either 2wd or 4wd.  the base st lists for $26,565 with 2wd and $29,350 with 4wd including destination, a great value considering the content. It's thousands lower than the msrp of the '03 durango, which was heavily rebated. For the first time, a v6 is available. The new single-overhead-cam engine displaces 3. 7 liters, makes 210 horsepower with 235 pound-feet of torque, and gets 16/21 mpg. Options include the sohc 4. 7-liter v8 engine that makes 230/290 horsepower and torque, a bigger alternator and battery, traction control, halogen headlamps, heavy-duty shocks and springs, a two-speed transfer case (low and high gears for 4wd), side curtain airbags and a sunroof.  the slt is distinguished by the third-row seat, a 50/50 fold-flat bench. The slt can be had with the v6 and 2wd, but the standard engine is the 4. 7-liter v8. Optional is the 335-horsepower 5. 7-liter hemi v8 for $895. The engine is new for durango but has one year under its crank in 2003 dodge ram trucks. Both v8 engines use an extremely smooth five-speed automatic transmission.  a 4x4 slt, the best-selling durango model, runs $31,590 including destination, a highly competitive price considering all the new engineering (which we'll get to). Standard equipment includes body-colored moldings and fascia, power driver's seat, interior wood trim, rear ac, foglamps and roof rails. It boasts that other drivers will be inclined to move over when they see a durango or ram in the rearview mirror. The 'crosshair' grille that's so imposing comes only in high-profile chrome in '04. And the new headlamps are called 'shotgun' headlights. We wish intimidation were left out of the equation. The durango is handsome enough to stand on its own. But the dodge truck image is macho, and it works.  the word 'retro' doesn't exactly fit, but the big-rig look is even stronger than before, with a conspicuously short hood. That short hood leads into a steeply raked windshield which draws a wedge to the silhouette, enhanced by the roof that slopes very slightly forward. The windshield is also aerodynamically slick, although from the front seats it gives the durango the visual feel of a minivan.  the fender flares are exaggerated, not in a wide-tire sort of way but rather more of the semi-truck look; the hood seems as narrow as it is short with the front fenders extended like that. The only other suv we can think of having such fenders is the edgy endeavor by mitsubishi, a company partly owned by chrysler; but curiously, the endeavor came first.  the third element is more subtle. The roofline slopes briefly downward at the rear, where the liftgate window leans to meet it. This reduces the normally boxy suv look. The taillights are distinctive as well. They're called 'afterburner' lights: two big red stacked circles per side, with the sheetmetal molded at their edges to suggest speed. The second and third seats are notably easy to access, as the rear doors open an exceptionally wide 84 degrees. The doors are also bigger, yet they're each five pounds lighter, possible because the body's overall structural strength is integrated into the new boxed-rail chassis.  the rear seat easily flips forward with the touch of one hand, and the seatback flops flat just as easily. This is no small virtue. The second-row seats recline and have their own climate control, so passengers can snooze in total comfort. The well-thought-out detail continues with convenient grab handles cleverly molded into the stubby rear leg of the second seat, which ease climbing back to the third seat. Once back there, there is a small bubble in the ceiling to give an extra bit of headroom. And from the outside, the liftgate opens very easily. The cargo floor is lower thanks to the rear suspension design, and there are 48 full inches between the wheelwell humps.  chrysler has a new and hugely expensive wind tunnel at its headquarters in auburn hills, mich., and it was used extensively with the durango to reduce wind noise. The aerodynamics are fine tuned, including the mirrors and the subtle ducktail at the trailing edge of the hood under the wipers, for reducing wind noise over the windshield. Says engineer bill grabowski, director of dodge truck platform and body, 'even if it's inaudible to the ear, if the data from the wind tunnel shows noise is there, we make it go away.'  call the whole durango 'silent running,' like the movie. More details: the motor mounts are calibrated to reduce the frequencies and harmonics of each engine. The windows have an extra layer of lamination to deaden sound. Foam is injected into many of the body and chassis crannies discovered by engineers to be tiny echo chambers.  it's this kind of effort and detail that especially makes the competitive price of the durango so noteworthy.  from the driver's point of view, the instrumentation is clean, handsome, easy to read and easy to operate. We especially like the simple black-on-white gauges and rectangular black venetian-blind style heating and cooling vents. The center console is deep, under a removable tray, and forward of that is another important compartment called the 'fast-food bin.' there are two integrated cupholders with removable neoprene for different sizes of drink containers. The seats are about right, neither too soft nor too firm. The 4. 7-liter engine is really good. It's powerful and really smooth. But it only gets 14/18 mpg in 4wd, using 87 octane, and the more we looked at that versus the 5. 7-liter hemi, the more we gravitated to the bigger engine.  the 5. 7-liter hemi delivers 105 more horsepower than the 4. 7-liter while providing almost the same economy, 13/18 mpg with 89 octane recommended, 87 acceptable. For $895 more, the hemi seems like a no-brainer; plus, it can tow up to 8950 pounds with the optional 3. 92 rear axle, compared to 7400 for the 4. 7. And the two-speed transfer case is standard with the hemi, optional with other engines.  hemi, by the way, refers to the overhead-valve, hemispherical combustion chamber design, and harkens back to the late '60s when the 426-cubic-inch (7. 0-liter) dodge hemi ramcharger ruled. Chrysler modernized the design last year after it had been gone (but not forgotten) for decades.  still. All-new, bigger, with the only optional v8 in the class. introductionthe all-new 2005 dodge dakota represents yet another bold move into the truck market for dodge. With sales of basic small trucks in steady decline, dodge has redesigned the dakota as a much larger, much edgier and more macho midsize pickup. The dakota is now the largest and by far the most powerful pickup in the segment.  dakota competes against ford ranger, chevrolet colorado, gmc canyon, toyota tacoma, and nissan frontier. As with full-size pickups, competition for compact or mid-size trucks is hot. Though the ranger is dated, canyon, colorado, tacoma, and frontier are totally new pickups for either 2004 or 2005. Dakota's biggest advantage, other than its larger size, is the availability v8 engines, not one, but two of them. Its towing capacity has been expanded to 7,150 pounds, by far the most in the class.  built on a new frame, the new dakota is substantially longer than the previous model with styling that complements the recently redesigned durango suv and ram pickup. Getting in is easy and the redesigned interior is comfortable and convenient with controls that are easy to reach and operate.  underway, the dakota is smooth and quiet. The optional 4. 7-liter v8 burbles subtly in the background when cruising, but really scoots when the throttle is mashed. Yet its fuel economy is rated within 1 mpg of the standard v6's. The steering is light for easy maneuverability in crowded parking lots. Standard-cab pickups have faded in popularity as families are increasingly using pickups for recreation and as a transportation alternative to a car. So dodge doesn't even offer a regular cab dakota.  either body style and all three trim levels come standard with a 3. 7-liter v6. A 4. 7-liter magnum v8 engine 785) is available on all models. A high-output version of the 4. 7-liter v8 is available for the slt and laramie trim levels. Both bodies are built on the same wheelbase. Club cabs now feature small doors to access the rear compartment, which the old model did not have.  club cab and quad cab are available in st, slt, or lariat trim levels. The st trim level comes standard with 16-inch wheels. Slt adds 16-inch aluminum wheels, fog lamps, tilt steering, dual rear seats, and power windows, locks and mirrors. In addition, the mopar aftermarket parts side of chrysler will have dozens of appearance, performance and entertainment options that can be installed at the dealership before or after delivery. The dakota retains the look of the dodge ram and durango, though it looks crisper and the grille is laid back, not vertical. All models come with front and rear tow hooks and tie-downs in the bed.  new to the dakota is an enhanced accident response system or ears, which automatically turns on interior lights and unlocks doors in the event of an air bag deployment, so that medical or response personnel can help faster and easier. interiorjust about everything on the inside of the dakota is new. There are new black-on-white gauges with chrome rings, with the central speedometer about twice as large as the other two gauges. The angular center stack houses the sound system, climate controls and vents. The rear seats are deliberately stepped up on their bases so that rear-seat occupants can see out more easily, and they are split into 40/20/40 folding sections with two rear cupholders.  the driver's seat, the only one we occupied for any length of time, looked good and felt good with its upper and lower support wings and good padding where it counts. Interior room, even for a tall, gangly driver like me, was excellent. It's the best in the class with this new cab size. A center console and lots of cubbyholes provide space to stash stuff.  new interior features for the 2005 dakota include standard head restraints and shoulder belts for all seat positions, taller head restraints, optional sirius satellite radio, and an optional hands-free communications system that uses bluetooth technology to make a compatible cellphone work as part of the truck. driving impressionthe test truck, which was configured for five with front bucket seats, was surprisingly quiet, smooth and civil in its behavior, more like a car than a truck inside. The glass is 20 percent thicker, mufflers are larger, and there's more sound insulation throughout the body and firewall than before. It drives bigger than it looks, with a hefty, ram-like way about it, a nicely muscular street swagger.  the 4. 7-liter magnum v8 engine costs a little extra, but for us it was worth every penny, because fuel mileage barely takes a hit (epa-estimated city/highway 15/19 for the v6, 14/19 for the v8). The 3. 7-liter magnum v6 is rated 210 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque. The 4. 7-liter v8 generates 230 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque. At highway speeds it settled down into a nice background burble in overdrive fifth gear. Its strong torque means plenty of low-down grunt for pulling payloads of up to 1,800 pounds or towing up to 7,150 pounds.  the transmission has perfectly spaced ratios for trucking, and worked without complaint, roughness or harshness, even in high-rpm full-throttle upshifts. With only two occupants and no load, it really scoots from the stoplight despite the nearly 4800 pound weight of the quad cab 4x4. The chunky steering wheel feels great in the hands. The truck tracks extremely well, responds quickly to inputs, and stays hunkered down during mountain road playtime. Its 265/70r16 bfgoodrich wrangler tires were both grippy in corners and very quiet at highway speeds, adding a measure of plushness to the ride quality that we really appreciated. And the dakota start. Bucket Seats✔ Power Windows✔ Anti-lock Brakes✔ Cruise Control✔ Leather Seats✔ Chrome Wheels✔ Bluetooth✔ Aluminum Wheels

2011 dodge caliber review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. The dodge caliber is a fun, well-rounded package, combining the versatility of a sport utility vehicle with the value and fuel-efficiency of a compact car. The front-wheel drive caliber is available in five "lifestyle" trims: express, mainstreet, heat, rush and uptown. All trim levels, with the exception of the rush, are outfitted with a 158-hp 2. 0-liter 4-cylinder engine, while the rush gets more power in the form of a 172-hp 2. 4-liter 4-cylinder engine; available transmissions include a five-speed manual and a continuously variable transmission (cvt). Every caliber is equipped with air conditioning, cruise control, a cd player with mp3 capability, satellite radio, ipod control and uconnect wireless connectivity. Additional trim-dependent features include 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels, a power sunroof, fog lamps, heated front seats and leather upholstery, along with a multimedia centre boasting a hard drive-based navigation system with 30 gigabytes of internal memory, a touch-screen lcd display and dvd video capability. Safety features include anti-lock brakes, active anti-whiplash front head restraints, front airbags, an inflatable driver knee blocker, and side curtain airbags for front and rear occupants; an electronic stability control system, including traction control and brake assist, is standard on all but the express. The dodge caliber carries over with minimal changes for 2011. Electronic stability control, including traction control and brake assist, is now standard on all but express trim levels, while the mainstreet gets a 6-way power driver's seat. Additionally, the optional navigation system gains real-time traffic information. Cruise Control✔ Anti-lock Brakes✔ CD Player✔ Air Conditioning✔ Navigation System✔ Sunroof/Moonroof✔ Alloy Wheels

2006 dodge ram pickup 3500 review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. It's responsive and comfortable as an everyday driver and it's ready to do some serious work when called upon. The 3500 engine options are similar to the 2500 series: 330 hp 5. 7-liter hemi v-8 or 5. 9-liter inline-six cummins diesel. Again the six-speed manual and automatics are available. Quad cab versions have the option of single or dual rear wheels for better towing capabilities. The regular cab only comes with dual rear wheels. The 3500 version of the ram has a one-ton rating. For 2006, the dodge ram 3500 is largely redesigned. It has also been modestly restyled and the interior has been upgraded.

2003 dodge caravan review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Dodge sells more minivans every year than any other brand. Its continued success appears the result of sticking to the basics, focusing on value, packaging, and practicality.  above all, the dodge caravan is family-friendly. It can carry half the little league team while delivering a smooth car-like ride and reasonable fuel mileage. A broad range of models means that nearly anyone who needs a minivan can find a caravan that fits their budget.  for 2003, dodge has added standard equipment to the top es trim level, which means a lower bottom line in some cases. New options include a huge power sunroof, a dvd entertainment system, and power-adjustable pedals. Also available, is sirius satellite radio. Installed by the dealer, the suggested retail price for the system is $299 plus labor; a sirius satellite radio subscription is $12. 95 per month.  . lineupnine versions of the dodge caravan are offered for the 2003 model year. That includes two standard-wheelbase caravans and seven extended-wheelbase grand caravans. Three different engines are available. Retail prices: caravan se 19,875); caravan sport 24,515); grand caravan se 22,280); grand caravan el 23,865); grand caravan ex 25,840); grand caravan sport 27,430); grand caravan es 32,725); grand caravan sport awd 31,230); grand caravan es awd 34,625).  grand refers to the length. Grand caravan models are significantly longer (by 11 inches) than caravan models. Grand caravans are 200. 5 inches long, stretched over a 119. 3-inch wheelbase. Caravans measure 189. 3 inches over a 113. 3-inch wheelbase. It does come standard with air conditioning, variable intermittent wipers, and an am/fm stereo cassette audio system. The bigger grand caravan se is similarly equipped, but is powered by a 3. 3-liter v6 engine. The grand-length sport gets fancier seats with upgraded cloth, and a standard rear defroster, three-zone climate control, and a heavy-duty alternator. A 3. 8-liter v6 is offered as an option.  snowbelt residents will appreciate the superior all-wheel-drive traction of the grand caravan sport awd.  next up the ladder is the grand caravan el, which adds mid-row bucket seats and a 50/50 split rear bench. The 3. 8-liter v6 is standard, and leather upholstery an option.  grand caravan es is the top of the line, available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The caravans look sleek by minivan standards. The styling is actually quite dramatic, with an aggressive grille and steeply raked windshield. They are very attractive vehicles, making the boxes of the past look bland.  the tracks for the sliding side doors are tucked under the rear side windows for a cleaner appearance. The d-pillars and rear window are steeply inclined for a sporty look, and a discrete spoiler rises from the trailing edge of the roof. Flared wheel openings add strength to the appearance. Headlamps and taillamps are big, the latter wrapping around to the sides. The roof rack is hunkered close to the roof, stylistically less obtrusive and perhaps less likely to generate wind noise, but also offering less clearance for the thicker hooks of some tie-downs.  at 200. 5 inches long and less than 5-feet, 10-inches tall, the caravan will fit just about anywhere a full-size sedan will fit.  . interiordodge caravan's interior is comfortable and convenient. Both caravan and grand caravan can accommodate seven passengers in a 2/2/3 arrangement.  caravan and grand caravan offer a slightly higher seating position that enables even short drivers to see over traffic. The driver's seat could use more support in the seat bottom, however.  the gauges are straightforward: big, round analog displays, a great basic design. The instrument faces are light gray with black numerals, not quite as legible as white on black. They illuminate in green at night. The dash is canted slightly forward; the designers claim this provides better visibility. Indicators for the turn signals and high beams are cleverly located in a thin hooded display above the instrument panel where they are easy to see.  the steering wheel controls are among the best we've seen. Cruise controls are on the front of the steering wheel and allow precise regulation of speed; an indicator on the dash tells the driver the system is on. Behind the steering wheel are audio controls that let the driver easily adjust volume, switch among pre-set stations, activate the seek function and switch between am and fm bands. It's a brilliant design.  controls for the sound system and hvac (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) are intuitive and easy to use. However, the audio system's on-off/volume knob is obscured by the gearshift lever when in drive, and the separate button on the radio for setting a preset seems less convenient than the traditional method of holding the button down. Three-zone temperature controls allow the driver and front-seat passenger to set their own comfort levels. There's a separate control for the rear of the cabin for the kids to fight over, though the driver has veto power.  access to the middle and rear seats is easy, much easier than in a sport-utility. Power sliding doors, available for one or both sides, work very well. The driver can operate them by pressing buttons on the dash or on the keyless remote. Second-row passengers can operate them by pressing a switch on the b-pillar, but that function can be locked out for children's safety. The second-row buckets make the second-row passengers as comfortable as the front-seat passenger.  the third-row bench provides room for two adults, but is a bit short of shoulder room for three adult males. The split rear seat is easier to lift out individually than one big, heavy bench seat.  all of the seats are easy to remove. They come loose in three steps and roll out on sturdy wheels, facilitating the conversion of the van from people mover to cargo hauler. One person can lift the seats from the van to the garage floor, but they are heavy enough that it's easier on the back to have a little help. With both rows of seats removed, the grand caravan can haul 4x8-foot sheets of plywood. That's 16 cubic feet more than the shorter caravan.  cup holders are everywhere. In the third row, there are even multiple holders for drinks of different shapes. They handle well with responsive steering and are stable at speed. Dodge has worked to reduce wind noise by adding underhood padding, using better gaskets between the outside mirrors and the body and around outside and inside door handles. Roof rack crossbows were designed in a wind tunnel to reduce wind noise, but they do not eliminate it entirely.  for mos.

2006 dodge grand caravan review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Smooth riding and responsive, most come with a powerful v6 engine that delivers strong acceleration for merging onto hectic freeways. Anti-lock brakes and side-impact airbags are available. And there's a model for every budget.  dodge redesigned the seating system last year, and the result is one of the most versatile interiors available for a family vehicle. Called stow 'n go, the optional system features second-row and third-row seats that flip down into the floor, leaving a huge, perfectly flat cargo compartment behind the front seats. And its cargo space is more accessible and more convenient than that of suvs.  with the seats in place, the grand caravan can carry seven. Selectively folding away the seats allows versatility in hauling a mix of passengers and cargo. No need to pull the seats out and store them in the garage or to try to put stuff on top of them.  the current model dates back to 1996, but dodge has continuously improved it since then. The 2005 model year brought substantial upgrades. It comes with hand-crank windows, manually adjusted mirrors, and a limited list of options, although rear-seat video entertainment is now available on all caravan models. It does have standard air conditioning, variable intermittent wipers, am/fm/cd stereo, and 215/70 tires on 15-inch steel wheels. The tire-pressure monitor is standard, but stow'n go seats are not available.  caravan sxt 22,225) is the short van equipped with a 3. 3-liter v6 and a higher level of standard equipment, though it does not get stow 'n go. Sxt does add second-row bucket seats, dual-zone manual air conditioning, tilt steering, cruise control, power windows, power heated mirrors, power locks with remote keyless entry, an upgraded am/fm/cassette/cd stereo, a rear window defroster, sunscreen glass, 215/65 tires on 16-inch aluminum wheels, and other niceties, plus an expanded list of options.  grand caravan se 22,920) is a long-wheelbase base model similarly equipped to the caravan se. But it's powered by the 3. 3-liter v6 engine, and comes with more sophisticated airbags with occupant classification system (ocs) and driver's side inflatable knee blocker. Front seatbelts use pre-tensioners to take up slack during a collision. Middle- and third-row seats include child-seat anchors for a more secure installation. Optional side curtain airbags are designed to offer head protection for outboard occupants in all three rows. walkarounddodge caravan and grand caravan are large vehicles, but not outrageously so. Measuring 200 inches long and less than 5-feet, 9-inches tall, even the grand caravan will fit just about anywhere a full-size sedan will fit. The standard caravan measures 189. 3 inches bumper to bumper. Grand caravan's extra 11 inches makes a big difference in the amount of cargo it can carry with all three rows of seats in place. Caravan rides on a wheelbase of 113. 3 inches, while the grand caravan stretches across a wheelbase of 119. 3 inches.  grand caravan and caravan are sleek and attractive with steeply raked windshields and aggressive grilles. The tracks for the sliding side doors are cleverly camouflaged under the rear side windows for a clean appearance. The d-pillars and rear window are steeply inclined for a sporty look, and a discrete spoiler rises from the trailing edge of the roof. Flared wheel openings add strength to the appearance. Headlamps and tail lamps are big, the latter wrapping around to the sides. The optional roof rack is hunkered close to the roof, stylistically less obtrusive and perhaps less likely to generate wind noise, but also offering less clearance for the thicker hooks of some tie-downs.  for 2005, dodge freshened the caravan's appearance with a new u-shaped grille featuring black bars behind dodge's trademark body-color crosshairs, a design cue shared with the new dodge magnum. Also new was a molded-in license plate pocket and revised fog lamps, while new body-colored side moldings protected the door. These details have continued unchanged for 2006.  models with power sliding doors on both sides add convenience when moving passengers. Press the button on the remote transmitter twice and the door slides open; press it twice again and it slides closed and seals. From the second-row seat, the power sliding door can be opened and closed by pressing a button; it can also be opened manually. A safety lock switch hidden on the trailing edge of the door can be engaged to prevent a child from opening the sliding door from inside. The power sliding doors can be fussy when passengers are in a hurry to get out, however, and passengers usually are in a hurry. Pulling on the outside lever opens the power door manually, with just slightly more effort than opening a regular manual door.  the standard manually operated sliding doors are easy to operate, smoothly gliding open and closed with the pull of a nicely designed lever. The outside door handles are comfortable and well designed; they impart a feeling of quality in appearance and operation. All door handles should be this good.  a power rear liftgate is available that adds convenience when picking up groceries or supplies. Press a button on the remote control and the liftgate opens or closes automatically. The material is soft and appears to be durable. Faux carbon fiber trim added a touch of high-tech to the cabin.  the seats in the grand caravan seemed more bucket-like than those of the similar chrysler town & country, and not as comfortable. The dodge has a manually adjustable lumbar support, however, and the seatbacks seem to have more side bolstering than in the t&c. The power seat adjusters have exposed screws on them that do not feel aesthetically pleasing. The seating position is higher than that of a sedan, which enables drivers to see over traffic. The second and third rows of seats fold flat into the floor leaving a perfectly flat platform for cargo. Folding and unfolding the seats is a quick three-step process. Pull one strap to drop the seatback, then pull two other straps to tuck it into the floor. This leaves a perfectly flat platform. Very few seats fold perfectly flat and no one else (except chrysler) has a second row that does this. The system is also flexible. The third row is split 60/40 and either or both of the second-row captain's chairs can be stowed. Getting into the third row is a little awkward, but easier than in most suvs. Once back there, the third-row seating is comfortable, though the seat bottoms are steeply raked.  grand caravan se and both caravan models come standard with the traditional seating setup instead of the new stow 'n go system, so the seats must be removed to turn them into effective cargo haulers. We found the second-row bucket seats and third-row split bench easy to remove, however. 2001 dodge ram pickup 1500 review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. A heavy-duty full-size with everyday comfort. introductionthough it's now the oldest design among current full-size pickups, the dodge ram may still be the best-looking truck on the market. Clearly, it's the most stylish.  it drives and rides well with quick steering and excellent brakes. Five engines are offered: 3. 9-liter v6, 5. 2-liter v8, 5. 9-liter v8, 8. 0-liter v10 and two cummins 5. 9-liter diesel inline-6 choices. Every engine comes with a choice of 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. Short and long beds are available.  the 5. 2-liter v8 produces 230 horsepower, while the 5. 9-liter v8 generates 245 horsepower and an impressive 335 pounds-feet of torque. The basic cummins diesel produces 235 horsepower and 460 pounds-feet of torque, while the new-for-2001 high-output version cranks out 245 horsepower and a stump-pulling 505 pounds-feet of torque.  standard, club cab and quad cab bodies are available in lt, laramie slt, and sst trim levels. The bold design with broad-shouldered front fenders is reminiscent of big freightliners steaming down the road with a full load of logs. It remains the best-looking pickup on the market. To improve structural rigidity, dodge designed a beam that runs laterally under the truck, and reinforced both the a and c pillars. Side door guard beams were also added to improve protection from side impacts.  the optional sport package comes with a body-colored grille and front and rear bumpers, decals, fog lamps, outline white letter tires, and cast aluminum wheels. The absence of a b-pillar makes it much easier to get in or out of the rear seat; it also makes it much easier to stick something behind the front seats. This includes a new steering wheel design, a big storage compartment, an extra power point, and new cupholders designed to handle any commercially available drink container. Other recent improvements include a keyless remote entry system, an upgraded base sound system, a cassette and cd sound system option and a new center console. The instrument pod features vacuum-fluorescent odometer and trip odometer that are tamperproof, and there are driver-programmable keyless entry key fobs. Other interior features include heated power mirrors, illuminated power door locks and window switches, and an optional security alarm system.  the front seat in all rams is divided 40/20/40, with a huge fold-down center section that doubles as armrest and writing table. When no one is sitting in it, the center position provides a large storage box, with divided spaces for coins, cassettes, maps or a laptop computer. The front seat belts are integrated into the seats themselves, which gets rid of messy hanging belts -- a particularly nice improvement for the wide-open quad cab doorway.  the quad cab rear seat is the same one used in other extended cab versions. It's handy for children, pets and petite adults, but it is not very comfortable for adults on long trips. The bench portion of the seat flips up out of the way effortlessly from either side for hauling tools or cargo. The power window option comes with an express-down switch on the driver's side. Steering wheel mounted radio controls are optional. There are two new overhead console designs; one with and one without trip computer. This engine has a ton of torque and a broad power band, which makes it a great deal of fun to drive. Passing is effortless. The manual transmission can add flexibility in off-road situations, but we recommend the automatic for street use. Rear suspension is a conventional live axle with leaf springs designed to carry heavy loads. The dodge v8 pickup truck has for years had a special kind of presence on the street, and the ram backs up that presence with excellent street manners and ride.  steering revisions that were new last year make steering much more precise than earlier models. Steering in the earlier rams was light and quick, but had a lot of dead space on-center and seemed to require constant left-right adjustments.  braking, with discs in front, drums in rear, is exemplary. The ram stops quickly with superb straight-line stability. Recent improvements to the instrumentation, powertrain and body combinations have made it an all-around better truck.

2004 dodge ram pickup 2500 review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Hemi v8 and all-wheel drive available. introductionthe dodge ram represents an excellent choice among full-size light-duty pickups. That's saying something considering the renaissance of all-new pickups from ford and nissan for 2004, along with strong entries from chevrolet and gmc, and a new toyota double cab. It would not be an overstatement to call 2004 the best model year for full-size pickups in the history of the automobile. The competition is better than ever, but so is the ram, which stands tall among its competitors.  completely redesigned and re-engineered for the 2002 model year, this latest-generation dodge ram boasts high levels of refinement and comfort. It's smoother and more comfortable than the previous-generation models. Its interior is more convenient than before and the bold exterior styling looks terrific. Changes for 2004 only improve the ram's impressive towing and hauling capabilities.  a new hemi v8 engine brings more power and efficiency to the dodge ram line of pickups. Added late during the 2003 model year, the 5. 7-liter hemi replaces the old 5. 9-liter v8, increasing power by 100 horsepower and 40 pounds-feet of torque while improving fuel economy by 10 percent. Dodge claims the hemi makes the ram 1500 lineup the most powerful mass-production light-duty pickup on the market. More important than claims, it is an exceptionally good engine, smooth and very responsive. Adding to the responsiveness of this engine is a new five-speed automatic transmission. The laramie trim package has been upgraded for 2004, and new options have been added, including a bluetooth-enabled cellular telephone. lineupdodge ram is available with two cab configurations, regular cab and quad cab (no extended cab). Quad cab models ride on a wheelbase that's 20 inches longer than comparable regular cab models. Quad cab adds $4,200 to $5,200 to the retail price.  two bed lengths are available, a 6-foot, 3-inch standard bed and an 8-foot long-bed. Ordering the long bed adds 20 inches to the wheelbase. Therefore, a long-bed quad cab is a long truck, long on roominess and utility, but not the easiest to turn around. Long-bed rams also get a bigger fuel tank, 35 gallons in place of the standard 26-gallon tank. Long beds add $300-$350 to the price.  three engines are offered: most popular is the 4. 7-liter v8, a modern overhead-cam engine. The most powerful engine in the line is the new 5. 7-liter hemi v8, which uses with hemispherical combustion chambers for improved airflow and burn. The new hemi produces 345 horsepower and 375 foot-pounds of torque. When properly equipped, that increases the towing capacity to 9200 pounds and payload by an additional 500 pounds. The 5. 7-liter hemi adds $795 to the price. For those who want maximum economy, there's a 3. 7-liter v6 available, but only with two-wheel drive.  a five-speed manual transmission is standard with the 3. 7-liter v6 and 4. 7-liter v8. Optional is a five-speed automatic 1,170) that includes an alternate second gear for hill-climbing and towing. St is the base level, starting at $19,420. It comes standard with air conditioning, but is equipped with wind-up windows, manual door locks, and vinyl upholstery. It comes standard with the 4. 7-liter v8, and adds cloth upholstery, nicer interior trim, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a host of convenience items, and wider tires. For 2004, the laramie package adds an all-chrome grille surround and chrome billet grill center. Laramie retails for $7,800-$8,900 more than the base level.  sport trim features body-colored grille, bumpers and side moldings, and includes fog lights and 17-inch aluminum wheels, and is available for most models. Aggressive street-rodder 20-inch wheels and tires are also available.  option packages include an off-road package 870-$1,405) with unique 17-inch aluminum wheels on lt275/70r17 off-road tires, 3. 92 rear axle, limited-slip differential, skid plates for the transfer case and front suspension, special shocks, tow hooks, fog lamps, and a heavy-duty cooling system. A work special package is designed to deliver affordability with gray bumpers, grille, and 17x7 steel wheels. A new hands-free cellular telephone system is available for 2004 that uses bluetooth technology. There's also a new integrated radio/navigation system available.  new for 2004 is the dodge ram srt-10, an outrageous pickup with 500 horsepower and 525 lbs.-ft. Its v10 engine, a new bored and stroked aluminum engine block taken from the dodge viper, displaces 505 cubic inches. The ram srt-10 boasts a custom-tuned suspension that drops the ride height 1 inch in front and 2. 5 inches in the rear. New front and rear strut assemblies and a rear sway bar were added to handle the increased cornering loads. Bilstein mono-tube shock absorbers, performance-tuned springs, and unique aerodynamic aids are designed to keep the ram srt-10 planted at high speeds, along with 22-inch wheels fitted with 305/40 r22 pirelli scorpion tires for extra adhesion. The brakes are modified with new 15-inch rotors in front and ram heavy duty 14-inch rotors in the rear; front and rear brakes fea. walkaroundthe dodge ram presents a bold, distinctive appearance with its big horse-collar grille and freightliner fenders. The basic look goes back 10 years, but received a major redesign for 2002. Modern and contemporary, the current design improved on the best of the previous, ground-breaking design. We think it looks terrific. The dodge ram is arguably the best-looking pickup in an increasingly spiffy field. Deep molten red has been added to the pallet of exterior colors for 2004.  few grilles are as instantly recognizable as the massive horse collar grille of the ram. The color of the grille provides some trim-level identification: the outside rim is all chrome on the slt model, with a gray honeycomb center. 2004 laramie models boast a new chrome grille and are further distinguished by chrome bodyside moldings. Sport trim includes a body-color surround and cross hairs with unique chrome billets in the center.  moving rearward, the ram presents robust appearance. An integrated air dam aids engine cooling and air conditioner performance.  the standard bed length is 6 feet, 3 inches, but an 8-foot bed is available for both quad cab and regular cab models. The longest model is the quad cab with 8-foor bed, which rides on a 160. 5-inch wheelbase; that's 20 inches longer than short-bed quad cab or long-bed regular cab models, which increases the turning diameter by 6 feet; but it's just 3 inches longer than ford and chevy long-bed extended-cab models. That's seems high when trying to heave heavy gear aboard.  the most noticeable exterior feature of the new 2004 dodge ram srt-10 is a unique hood that features a wide power bulge and scoop sitting atop the signature cross-hair grille. interiorthe dodge ram is among the roomiest of the full-size pickups and its cab is a pleasant place to be. Laramie models get an updated interior for 2004, with silver trim adorning the door panels and instrument bezels. Laramie comes with distinctive leather trim, with new, higher contrast color seat inserts.  we've found the interior materials in rams to be good quality overall, though all is not perfect in truckville. The faux wood trim on the center stack reminds us of plastic. On leather-trimmed models, cloth is used on the inboard seat-bottom trim where leather would have offered a cleaner appearance. The cup holders can be fussy. However, the ram interior is quite nice and shows attention to details that add utility and convenience. The big fold-down center armrest/console comes with adjustable dividers and a power outlet. A hook on the passenger-side floor well is provided for securing a grocery bag or anything else with suitable handles. Air Conditioning✔ Leather Seats✔ Navigation System✔ Bluetooth✔ Aluminum Wheels
